Joanne Carmody Meierhofer

Bio:
Joanne Carmody Meierhofer grew up in Eden Prairie and studied art at the
College of St. Catherine and at the University of Minnesota. She has lived
in Willmar for almost 30 years, and operates a home-based sewing business
there. Joanne has created art for most of her life, but since joining
the Glacial Ridge Artists group about 6 years ago, she has participated
in many juried art shows. In the past two years, her work has also been
selected to appear in the State Fair Fine Arts Exhibit.
Joanne has participated in workshops with Marilyn Beth Hughes, Bela Petheo
and Grace Haverty, as well as classes at The Minnetonka Center for the
Arts. Watercolor has been her preferred medium, although she recently
has begun exploring pastels. Joanne finds her inspiration in natural forms
and subjects, her flower and vegetable gardens, her family, and travel.
