Kimberly Jo Brainard
Bio:
Kimberly Jo Brainard was born and raised in Pope County, MN. She lives
on a farm near Starbuck that has been in her family since 1863. Artwork
has always been a part of her life.
Brainard's philosophy is that viewing a painting is like a dance. An
exchange takes place between the viewer and the painting. While you (the
viewer) are looking at it, anything the artist felt, thought or intended
while creating the painting is irrelevant. You now lead the dance. You
are an integral and inescapable part of the design, because you view any
art with all of your life's experiences and expectations in tow. You will
see in a painting what life has taught you to see.
